DAY 1 November 17 FRI. CAIRO / ASWAN
This morning transfer for the flight from Cairo to Aswan. Upon arrival transfer to your luxury Nile Cruise, and enjoy lunch onboard. Here a waiting motor coach takes you to tour the Aswan High Dam, the pride of modern Egypt, and continue to visit the Philae temple, in the afternoon enjoy a Felucca (a traditional sailing boat) ride on the Nile. Overnight on board. Full board (B, L, D)
DAY 2 November 18 SAT. ASWAN / KOM OMBO /EDFU
This morning Sail to KomOmbo to visit the only temple dedicated to two gods: Sobek, crocodile-headed god of the underworld, and Haroeris, the winged god of the sky. The temple is beautifully situated on a rise at a bend in the river. In the afternoon, we visit the temple 0f Edfu dedicated to the god Horus, the principal god of Resurrection. He is depicted in his role as avenger of his father, Osiris, murdered by his brother Seth. You will ride in horse-drawn carriages to explore what is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. DAY 3 November 19 SUN. EDFU/ LUXOR
This morning we arrive to Luxor after breakfast we visit the Temple of Luxor, built during the reign of Amenophis III and dedicated to the god Amon-Ra. Ramses II who added statues representing himself, and two obelisks expanded it. One of the obelisks still stands there, while the other stands at the Place de la Concorde in Paris. Proceed to the Temple of Karnak, the most important sanctuary in Egypt as the center of worship of the god Amon. Each pharaoh added his own contribution to the temple, so on your visit, you will experience 2000 years of history. Overnight onboard at Luxor full board (B.L.D)
DAY 4 November 20 MON LUXOR _ CAIRO
This morning we cross the Nile to visit the vast burial city called the Necropolis of Thebes, on the West Bank of the Nile. Your visit will take you to the Colossi of Memnon, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari, the Valley of the Kings, and the nearby Valley of the Queens. Visit the interior of several tombs to see the remarkably preserved wall paintings depicting life and death in ancient Egypt. (B, D) This afternoon we disembark our cruise ship and travel to the airport for our flight to Cairo, and then we will be transferred to our airport hotel in Cairo(B)
