DAY 1 CAIRO
Meet after breakfast for a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities to view the unique collection of Pharaonic art and the renowned treasures of King Tutankhamen. (you can visit the mummy room within the museum at an additional cost of EL 100).The museum visit, will help you to understand Egypt’s past and give an excellent insight to her history and prepare you for your journey of discovery with us Continue to Giza Plateau to see the site of the last remaining of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu), which dates from 2600 B.C.E. This pyramid is 450 feet high and consists of 2,300,000 blocks of stone, each stone weighing 2.5 tons. Nearby see the pyramids of Chefren and Mykerinos, and end our visit by the majestic Sphinx, guardian of the plateau. (B.L)
